Rosemary Valero-O'Connell's Love Letter to Comics

Over the weekend, Rosemary Valero-O'Connell won an Ignatz Award for Outstanding Artist for her work on Don't Go Without Me. But she also was the presenter for Outstanding Graphic Novel (which went to Ebony Flowers' Hot Comb by the way). Rosemary's introduction to the award category is one of the most beautifully spoken love letters to the medium of comics I've ever heard, and I'd like to take today's post to just share it with everyone...
