Although Dick Tracy certainly doesn't have the level of fame he did once upon a time, I suspect most people don't realize just how popular the strip and its creator really were. I've pulled together a few of Chester Gould's appearances over the years.

In 1949, Gould was presented with a special citation from the Police Athletic League on The Fred Waring Show...
