- David Harper examines the origins of the Marvel trading cards of the 1990s.
- Nick Sousanis completed his doctoral dissertation as a comic book, and it's titled Unflattening and now being published by Harvard University Press. According to the summary, "Weaving together diverse ways of seeing drawn from science, philosophy, art, literature, and mythology, it uses the collage-like capacity of comics to show that perception is always an active process of incorporating and reevaluating different vantage points."
- Andy Nakatani, editor-in-chief of Weekly Shonen Jump in the US, is interviewed by the Organization Anti-Social Geniuses about his background as well as a bit about where he thinks the magazine is going.
- Jim Milliot, over at Publisher's Weekly, shows that diversity in publishing in general, not just comics, is pretty abysmal.
