My 2014 Event Schedule

Because no one demanded it, here's a look at my schedule for 2014 so far. If you happen to be at any of these events, keep an eye out for my hat so you can stop over and say hi. (To me, not my hat.)

• March 13 - Aw Yeah Comics' 2nd Anniversary Bash, Aw Yeah Comics, Skokie
• March 21 - Opening reception for "Exploring Calvin and Hobbes" and "The Force Meets the Immovable Object: A Richard Thompson Retrospective", Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, Columbus
• March 22 - Dear Mr. Watterson screening, Wexner Center for the Arts, The Ohio State University, Columbus
• April 12 - Noelle Stevenson Lumberjanes signing, Challengers Comics, Chicago
  
• April 19 - Hillary Chute Discusses Outside the Box, Quimby's Bookstore, Chicago
• April 25-27 - Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), McCormick Place, Chicago
• May 4 - Borgess Half Marathon*, Kalamazoo
• May 31 & June 1 - Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), Center on Halsted, Chicago
• June 12 - Box Brown Andre the Giant signing, Challengers Comics, Chicago
  
• August 22-24 - Wizard World Chicago, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont
• October 4 - My wedding*, Chicago
• October 12 - Bank of America Chicago Marathon*, Chicago

There will probably be some other events that come up throughout the year, but this is what I've got on my calendar at the moment. Remember that if you attend any of these, look for the hat!

* OK, these aren't really comic events and I won't have my trademark hat, but there will likely be some comic references of some kind. There's almost always someone dressed up in a Superman costume in these races, and I've invited a few comic industry folks to my wedding. So it's kind of appropriate here. Almost.
