- Ken Quattro republished Karl Schadow's article "That's The Spirit" which delves into a great detail about The Spirit radio show from the early 1940s.
- Henry Kujawa has a great four-part series looking at the early days of Marvel's Daredevil comic. I particularly liked his guestimation on how that whole Savage Land story came about. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.
- Kind of not-really-comics-but-sorta-close-by-being-otaku are maid cafes. Evidently, there was one set up in Anime Conji this year and Darlene Horn reviewed it... from the perspective of a food critic. I've never been to a maid cafe myself, but I always got the impression that actually eating the food was one the least significant reasons most people would go to one.
- Jim Shelley has a write up on the history of Rick Jones. While much of it is a fairly straight-forward recap, Shelley also posits a theory that Jones may be a product of Arnim Zola's experiments with Moon Boy's DNA.

Hey Sean,
Thanks for promoting Jim's post on Rick. How would you feel about contributing a post to my blog too (as I have MS so am having to recruit others to help keep my it going when I'm out of remission)? You don't have to approve this comment for your blog, I'm just using it as a way to get in touch.
