The lower shelf features books and journal articles about fans and fandom. I've had the shelf for a while, but what's very cool now is that my book is on there, too. Snuggled right between Henry Jenkins and Marshall McLuhan. Not much better company to keep than that, my friends!

Ahhhh, plastic magazine file from Marc's, open-ended shelf with cardboard preventing books from tipping out... looks very familiar to me! :-)
It's actually a second-hand magazine file to boot! And obviously, neither I nor my dad, who bought it originally, felt compelled enough to bother taking off the price sticker! :)
