I was looking at a local consignment shop for a birthday present for my father. There was the prerequisite comic boxes, which I naturally had to go through. The comics were all marked either 25 cents, a dollar, or two dollars. Most o fthe issues weren't worth a quarter, but I did find a copy of
Green Lama #5 for two bucks. The issue was coverless, but otherwise complete. For a 1946 comic book, I have to say that I still think it's quite a bargain.
Goes to show that those old boxes still hide some decent treasures!
